Training started!!!

Frist Training

Date: 1st April 2018, Sunday

Time: 10:00 -14:00

Route: Tai Shui Hang - Tai Wong Yeh Temple, Tai Po - Tai Shui Hang

Distance: 22.2 km


Today, we began our training! We started with warm up stretches and exercises before getting on the bikes. We, then, learnt how to get on and off the cycle in a proper manner; after which we were able to start cycling along the scenic route.


Along the route, we practiced communicating through hand gestures while cycling in a single file, as it gets difficult to pass along verbal instructions. Hence we learnt passing gestures to stop, cycle faster and slower, whether we are going uphill or downhill.


We ended by some post-training stretches to ensure our muscles do not get injured later.


This first training gave us a glimpse of the rest of the challenge! We hope through consistent training, we can travel longer distances, build our muscles and endurance.
